My apologies, loyal readers
I know, I know, I'm really bad about updating. It's been nearly a month. Believe me, I've been duly chastised.
Not a great deal is new in Austin. Classes are good -- no, they're amazing. My documentary video class is absolutely phenomenal, and what location lighting lacks in classroom instruction, it totally makes up for in our projects.
Speaking of location lighting, some of the pictures from yesterday's four-hour shoot will be in the Portrait section of my website, hopefully later today.
Friday I start shooting my documentary for doc video. I'm filming a group of transplant patients, beginning with a kidney patient who is waiting on a transplant. Next week I'll do a man who had a heart transplant. I also have a couple of donor families on the line. Overall, I'm really, really excited about the project.
Saw a guy on the bus today who had THE MOST BEAUTIFUL eyes. Unfortunately, said eyes were reading "Polymer Nanocomposites," which in my world is code for "We have nothing in common, photo girl." Not exactly my kind light reading for the bus.
Last week I was thinking I need a new bag to carry all my still and video stuff. I've since concluded that instead of a bag, I need a sherpa.
I'll post here when the website is updated.
